Question
Hi! I'm curious about your preferred macrocomposition of diet is and what your main carb sources are, thanks!
Hi Joe! How to increase the resilience of my brain to inflammation? Any type of inflammation (alcohol, allergies, gut, stress) dramatically affect the function gf my brain. The effects last for 2-4 days. I want to be more resilient. Thanks!
I saw this on Shark Tank and decided to pick it up. The light claims to help with your Circadian Rhythm. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IU9MMPI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 What are your thoughts? and how should I utilize this?
I recently purchased this Hydrogen water generator. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NJ9PQMH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Do these things actually work? What are some of the benefits of drinking Hydrogen water and how much a day should you be drinking?
Hi Joe, My mother suffers from dementia. I have been heavily supplementing her with all of the cognitive supplements that were recommended based on her Self Decode results which seem to be helping her remain where she is at. I keep seeing studies based on the vielight that look promising but I don't think I can afford to drop $1500 on a device like that atthis time. Is there anything else more reasonably priced that would have similar effects? I know $1500 realistically doesn't seem like a lot if it truly does help but I just don't think I can swing that price at this time. If you have any other recommendations that would be great. I do have a joov light. Wondering if I could incorporate that into her therapy somehow.
Hi Joe, I recently got the new apple watch and have been tracking my heart rate throughout the day. I noticed that my heart rate averages in the Resting range of (72-79) 6% of the time. High Resting (80-99) 78% of the time and Elevated (100-119) 15% of the time. I'm on synthroid 150mg as I had my thyroid removed, and I also take Modafinil 50mg when I feel I need a pick me up. Do you think my heart is working too hard being in this range all the time? When sleeping my rate is around 70. If I am at work sitting at my desk I'm in the 72-79 range, but as soon as I get up and walk around I find myself in the 80-99 range.
I had a bad toothache and was told it was an infection in a non root canel tooth. It was extracted and the same day the endodentist placed an implant in tooth #12. 3 weeks later I had terrible seething pain. I was away and took carbmezapine 100 mg which helped. Upon my return an oral surgeon removed the implant and the nerve pain elevated. I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia.( OUCH!) What can I do relieve the pain other than this drug. The nerve pain is now going down my neck into my shoulder . I believe it might be a jaw cavitation but it's difficult to get that diagnosis. do you have any thoughts or suggestions on bond cavitation and more so Relieving Trigeminal Neuralgia. My diet is pretty clean. no dairy or gluten Any healing thought to heal the nerve and lessen the tremendous discomfort?
How might the gut/digestion and the eyes be linked? Same with adrenals, how would they be linked to the eyes? When I have adrenal crashes (loss of appetite, lack of energy and enthusiasm, lapse of memory, confusion, brain impairment (not just ""fog"")), the biggest symptom is eye pain. Not dry eye or burning eyes, but true pain and ache of the eyes, without any visible inflammation or changes. Oftentimes crashes would be set off after eating, HOWEVER they do not correlate to any food or food type that I can tell. Tracked this for many months. It's as if digestion itself is a stressor. Sometimes the crash has already occurred by the time I wake up without a clear causation. Could it be secondary thyroid issues? With my naturopath's aid, Adrenal Support by Vital Nutrients is the primary supplement that has reduced these crashes. But the eye pain is there any time a crash occurs, and I'm determined to understand the connection. Sometimes after I eat, I do get actual dry eyes + tiredness, and eye drops help. Once the dryness is gone, so is the illusion of tiredness. But again, I don't understand why the eyes take an immediate beating when there's some sort of digestion issue.
Hi Joe, Thanks for all your hard work. Few questions -- last month my question didn't get posted. 1) Vitamin C -- I read the article on your site. Do you take Vitamin C, and if so, what form and how much? Some (such as Dr. Berg and Carolyn Dean) say that the synthetic form is problematic, but your article disagrees with that? 2) Potassium citrate -- How do you take it? Capsules? In water? All at once/couple times a day? 3) How do you and your team evaluate studies -- good ones from bad ones? 4) CBD dosing -- on your site, it says some of the studies had as much as 600-900mg a day, and a ""low dose"" was 100-150. Is that right? A small bottle of Elixinol contains 300mg, so some people can/do take 2-3 bottles a day of it? I feel effects with just a 5mg dose. 5) I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia -- anything you've found especially helpful for clients with that condition? Thank you!
Will your Cognitive Wellness Report provide the same information as presented in your Brain Upgrade Series: Enhancing your Cognitive Function or are they two different things?
In this article about Th1 (https://selfhacked.com/blog/supplements-people-th1-dominant/) you talk about people who are Th1 dominant generally have an underlying and active infection. You mentioned that you were going to put some energy into how people can figure out what infection they have and the best ways to kill or deactivate that particular infection as you feel this is a missing link. I'm in a very similar situation (Heavily TH1 dominant) and looking at Lyme and the Epstein-Barr Virus but how sure how identify any other possible viral infections. Have you got any further advice or suggestions for how best to address this?
